Ripple Coefficient of Power Frequency DC High Voltage Generator
The power frequency DC high voltage generator adopts professional technology from the 1990s. The DC high voltage generator utilizes current electronic components and structural configuration, as well as process flows in product structure and production equipment, to improve the stability and accuracy of the power supply output voltage value. The DC high voltage generator has large output power, small size, light weight, and reliable overvoltage, overcurrent, and zero static closing protection functions. The ZGF series DC high voltage generator has a 0.75 times voltage latch function and is equipped with a time relay, the DC high voltage generator can set timed alarms during testing. The entire power frequency DC high voltage generator is easy to carry, simple to operate, safe and reliable, especially suitable for power maintenance departments, power plants, and power maintenance units for on-site testing. Operation and installation instructions include preparation for operation, waterproof installation instructions, voltage setting calibration, and testing.
1. Preparation before operation of the power frequency DC high voltage generator
Use the cable with the inverter cable socket to connect the signal output cable socket 13 and the measurement input socket 14 of the control box of the power frequency DC high voltage generator. Check integrity before use; the connecting cable should not have short circuits or open circuits; the cylinder should be free of condensation; use copper wire of 2.5mm² or more to connect the grounding terminal of the control box to the grounding terminal of the voltage multiplier and ground it reliably.
2. Installation instructions for water resistance
1) Before each test, unscrew one end of the waterproof hole and add water until it immerses 2/3 or more of the conductive rod, with the air hole end facing up.
2) After the test is completed, pour out the water and refill before the next test.
3. Voltage setting value calibration
1) Plug in the power cord, turn on the power switch 2 of the control box, and the voltage display meter 8 and current display meter 7, and the 0.75 times voltage display meter 11 all show zero values.
2) Turn the voltage setting knob 17 clockwise, and turn the voltage coarse adjustment knob 18 and voltage fine adjustment knob 19 counterclockwise to zero. The zero indicator light 4 lights up.
3) Click the "Start" button 15, and the "Power" indicator light 3 (red) lights up. If pressing the "Start" button 15 causes the red indicator light to go out, it indicates that the voltage coarse and fine adjustments are not at the zero position. Then turn the voltage coarse adjustment knob 18 and fine adjustment knob 19 counterclockwise to the zero position, and the red indicator light 3 lights up.
4) Turn the voltage coarse adjustment knob 18 clockwise. When the voltage is close to the desired voltage value, turn the voltage fine adjustment knob 19 to the desired voltage. At this time, the voltage display value is in kV, and the current display value is in mA. 5) Adjust the voltage setting knob 17 counterclockwise to turn off the high voltage. At this time, the red indicator light 3 goes out, and the "Overvoltage" indicator light 5 lights up. At this point, the instrument is set according to the desired output voltage, that is, when the output reaches the desired voltage value, the output automatically achieves high voltage and overvoltage protection.
Note: If the setting knob is not adjusted, each voltage value can only rise to the set voltage value. If the voltage rises to the rated value, the overvoltage setting knob must be turned clockwise to the maximum value.
The power frequency DC high voltage generator adopts medium frequency rectification and filtering technology, which solves the shortcomings of the power frequency DC high voltage generation device with large ripple coefficient and unstable waveform. This product meets the requirements of the newly promulgated power industry standard ZBF24003-90. It is widely used in DC withstand voltage tests and leakage current tests of electrical equipment, especially with the set voltage U1mA below 1mA, and the leakage current function below 0.75U1mA for zinc oxide arresters.
An energy storage device installed at both ends of the rectifier circuit is used to reduce the AC ripple ripple coefficient, improve, and smooth DC output. This device is commonly called a filter capacitor. The filter capacitor has electrode polarity and is also called an electrolytic capacitor. One end of the electrolytic capacitor is the positive electrode, and the other end is the negative electrode. The positive terminal is connected to the positive terminal of the rectifier output circuit, and the negative terminal is connected to the negative terminal of the circuit. In all circuits that need to convert AC to DC, setting a filter capacitor will make the performance of the electronic circuit more stable and can also reduce the interference of AC ripple on the electronic circuit. The symbol of the filter capacitor in the circuit is usually represented by "C". The larger the capacitance, the better the filter performance. To obtain a better DC stability coefficient, capacitors of hundreds of microfarads or thousands of microfarads are usually selected.
The ripple coefficient of a DC high voltage generator refers to the ratio of the AC component to the DC voltage in a DC power supply. It is called the ripple coefficient and is used to measure the quality of the filter.
The image of a wave is called a waveform, and different waveforms have different shapes. When the frequency is different, the waveform shows expansion and contraction similar to a spring; when the amplitude is different, the waveform shows fluctuations similar to mountains. The timbre waveform is beautiful and smooth; the noise waveform is confusing and complex. There are many types of waveforms, and different waveforms have different definitions and measurement methods. The sine waveform is defined in the time domain, but its waveform distortion parameters are represented by the sine waveform after Fourier transform, and the amplitude of harmonic components in the frequency domain relative to the fundamental wave is expressed (see distortion measurement); the nonlinearity of the wave refers to the degree to which the actual waveform deviates from the ideal straight line. The nonlinearity of low-rate sawtooth waves can be measured by equal-interval precision sampling; pulse waveform measurement has more content.
