TD-1168 High-altitude Wire Clamp
Precautions:
1 Please read the instruction manual carefully before use.
2 For test current, when testing larger currents: use a short wire to connect the upper and lower jaws of the high-altitude clamp, so that both jaws contact simultaneously, increasing the current capacity. When testing smaller currents: at the wiring points of the upper and lower jaws, connect the current wire to the upper jaw and the voltage wire to the lower jaw, allowing both current and voltage tests to be completed in one operation.
3 During use, maintain a safe distance from live equipment.
4 If the jaws are clamped on a screw, have insufficient clamping force, or the connecting wires have poor contact, the test results may be affected.
5 Do not push the lower jaw of the clamp upward directly with your hands to avoid bending or squeezing the internal steel wire rope.
6 Lubricate the sliding parts and avoid dust ingress.
7 After use, store in a clean, dry place.
TD-1168 High-altitude Wire Clamp Operating Instructions:
1 Adjust the clamp head to approximately the same angle as the wiring position (if the wiring position is vertical to the ground, replace it with the spare guide hook).
2 Install the voltage and current wires to the terminals on the clamp jaws, mount the clamp onto the special operating rod of the required length, and then secure the wires in sections (reserve a 20cm wire allowance near the clamp) onto the operating rod.
3 Use the operating rod to lift the clamp, gently lean it against the wiring position when the clamp head is slightly above it, and rely on the guide hook to slide down slowly along the wiring position so that the jaws clamp onto the wiring point. Pull the operating rod in the direction of the lower jaw (avoid excessive force), and the jaws will tighten and lock automatically.
4 To remove the clamp, simply push the operating rod toward the upper jaw direction, and the jaws will release.
