Generally, centrifugal or coalescing separation types have higher dehydration efficiency when dealing with high moisture content (>1000ppm or higher), but their dehydration efficiency decreases when the moisture content is lower. Equipment of poorer quality may even have poor dehydration performance at a few hundred PPM. Moreover, centrifugal or coalescing separation oil filters are only suitable for removing free water in the oil, not dissolved water. Over time, dissolved water can easily cause oil emulsification. Emulsified oil not only degrades oil quality but also harms the lubrication of turbine bearings. For fire-resistant oil, it can also accelerate the hydrolysis of oil esters, leading to high acid values, generating sludge and scale, causing servo valve sticking and regulating mechanism malfunction, seriously affecting the safe operation of the unit.
The coalescing separation structure and principle are relatively simple, but the filter media used for dehydration is quite consumable. The dehydration effect of centrifugal type depends on the speed of the separation drum. Domestic centrifugal machines used for filtration generally have lower speeds. Imported centrifugal machines have better effects but are expensive.
Applications
Take lubricating oil filtration machine as an example
Lubricating oil vacuum oil filter mainly treats unqualified industrial oils such as mechanical oil, hydraulic oil, compressor oil, and refrigeration oil. It can quickly and effectively remove water, gas, impurities, and volatiles (such as alcohol, gasoline, ammonia, etc.) from the oil, restoring the oil's viscosity, flash point, and performance. The treated lubricating oil has low emulsification value, extremely low moisture content, and high impurity precision, making it fully reusable in high-precision hydraulic lubrication equipment both domestically and internationally. It is suitable for purification and regeneration treatment of various lubricating oils in industries such as petroleum, chemical, mining, metallurgy, electric power, transportation, machinery manufacturing, and railways.
