China Chemical Industry News (CCINet) recently reported that Linde, a global industrial gases and engineering company, announced that its first twin-bed VPSA unit utilizing magnetic levitation centrifugal technology has officially commenced production in China. This new VPSA unit achieves comprehensive improvements and optimizations in multiple indicators such as system energy consumption, civil construction costs, and noise emissions, demonstrating Linde's commitment to sustainable development by leveraging innovative gas technologies to continuously support energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and low-carbon transformation across various industries in China.
In this instance, Linde invested in, constructed, and operated a VPSA oxygen generation unit employing new technology in a project in Sichuan, which is also the world's first twin-bed VPSA unit using magnetic levitation centrifugal technology. Compared to traditional VPSA units, this new type of unit can save up to 20% of system operating energy consumption under the same conditions, significantly reduce civil construction costs, and notably lower noise pollution emissions, thereby helping customers maximize operational cost optimization, energy saving, and carbon reduction while achieving outstanding environmentally friendly effects. Currently, various industries in China are focusing on carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals and advancing sustainable development transformation. As a leading enterprise in VPSA technology development, Linde will fully utilize innovative technological achievements in this field and continuously introduce innovative VPSA units into multiple industries in China, including steel, lithium batteries, glass, and water treatment, to achieve breakthrough applications.
